Dr. Cecilia Quinn

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a PhD in social work and an AASECT-certified sex therapist.

My name is Dr. Cecelia Quinn and I have a PhD in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years post-graduate school clinical experience.  I was an adjunct professor in the School of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago from 2011-2022 where I taught both graduate and undergraduate classes in human development, social policy, gender studies and generalist practice. I also have a Master’s in Social Work as well as a Master’s of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies. I received a BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for Spanish in 2001. I have extensive experience teaching as well as broad clinical experience. I am committed to social justice, working with minorities and underseen populations.

I served in the Peace Corps as a teaching methodologist for two years in Turkmenistan. I have advanced training in trauma as I received the Global Mental Health Trauma and Recovery Certificate from the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma (HPRT) as well as completed the forty-hour training in sexual violence and separately, in domestic violence. Most recently, I completed the certificate training for Sex Therapy & Sexuality Education at University of Michigan.
